Whether N4 builds the live data caches or not depends on whether FRMCARINA034 (ENABLE_LIVE_DATA_CACHING) (on page 1) setting is true or false (default) and a message processing group for LDC is available at the time when you startup a cluster node. When you start a cluster node and:
FRMCARINA034 is true and a message processing group is available for LDC, N4 builds the live data caches during node startup. Just overriding the FRMCARINA034 setting does not initiate the live data caches. To initiate live data caches after all the cluster nodes are already up, you must perform the steps specified below.
FRMCARINA034 is false (default), N4 does not build the live data caches during node startup.
For multi-yard or multi-facility sites, this action affects all the active yards or facilities on the selected node(s).
To initiate live data caches after node startup:
In the Administration Settings
Settings view (on page 1), override the FRMCARINA034 to true.
In the Administration System
Live Data Caches view:
Select the cluster nodes on which you want to initiate the live data caches, as shown below:
Select the Actions Start/Reset Built-in Caches menu option.
N4 displays a confirmation message box.
To start/reset the live data caches on the selected nodes, click Yes in the confirmation message box.
If you have selected multiple nodes, N4 initiates the live data caches on each node sequentially. The order is determined by the order in which the nodes are displayed in the Live Data Caches view.
OR
To cancel the process, click No in the confirmation message box.
If you clicked Yes, N4 displays a status message in the top-left corner of the Browser window, as shown below:
After the message is cleared, click to update the Cache Status for the selected cluster nodes.
